Stablepools on Curve Finance using Vyper were
exploited on July 30, 2023.
According to Curve Finance, Stablepools including
alETH/msETH/pETH using Vyper 0.2.15 have been exploited as a result of a
malfunctioning reentrancy lock.
According to Vyper, codes in Viper compiler was one of the cause of the exploit, its 0.2.15, 0.2.16 and 0.3.0
versions are vulnerable to malfunctioning reentrancy locks.
Curve Finance is working on solving
this problem. CRV, the utility token of Curve Finance price drops 18.31% after
the exploit happened.
