Seemingly, it begins to be a shape for using digital dollar pilot according to global banking giants and Federal Research Bank of New York had cooperated to create a new project to help speed up payments in the future.

Many financial companies including Citigroup Inc, HSBC Holdings Plc, Mastercard Inc, and Wells Fargo & Co had begun to test using digital dollar pilot along with New York Red’s innovation center as they said,

“The project, which is called the regulated liability network, will be conducted in a test environment and use simulated data”, the New York Fed said.

They tried to test how banks use tokenizing assets as the common database and how this project will provide speed-up payments. The Federal Reserve Bank of New York announced in a statement its plans to begin a 12-week digital dollar pilot.

“It sees promise in using a central bank digital dollar to speed up settlement time in currency markets” Michelle Neal, head of the New York Fed's market group, said earlier this month.
