On Mar 28, 2024, Celestia launched data
availability solution called Blobstream on Base. And on Apr 3, 2024, Celestia
launched Blobstream on Arbitrum One.
Blobstream is data availability
solution for Ethereum ecosystem. It allows developers to build high throughput layer-2
blockchains using Celestia data availability layer.
Blobstream streams Celestia’s modular
data availability layer to Ethereum. Developers build blockchains and plug in
Celestia’s Blobstream for data availability layer.
Arbitrum Orbit lets developers build
customizable blockchains. It is a part of Arbitrum ecosystem.
Developers can use Arbitrum Orbit to
build layer-2 or layer-3. Layer-2 will be built on top of Ethereum and layer-3
will be built on top of Arbitrum L2. Now developers can plug in Blobstream when
they build new chains on Arbitrum one.
Blobstreams enables L2 and L3 to use
Celestia as modular DA. The advantage of DA solution is, it reduces transaction
cost per block.
