USDC on Polkadot network on September 13, 2023. USDC is now available for developers
and users within the Polkadot network.
Polkadot Parachains can get access and transfer USDC to Parachains via the XCM protocol. A Parachain is
an individual blockchain that run in the Polkadot network.
Circle
issues USDC through Polkadot Asset Hub. It is a common-good parachain
designed for issuing, managing, and transferring digital assets across the
Polkadot ecosystem.
USDC
will support the growth of DeFi in Polkadot network. USDC
is the second largest stablecoin by market cap after USDT. USDC’s market cap is
$29 billion. While USDT’s market cap is $83.1 billion.
