to Kraken in 2024, bringing the total to 44,300 ETH, worth about $148 million,
with an average sale price of approximately $3,342 per ETH.
Despite these sales, Wilcke retains
around 106,000 ETH, valued at approximately $382 million at current market
prices.
The timing of these transfers has drawn
attention, especially considering Ethereum's underperformance relative to other
major cryptocurrencies this year.
Data indicates that while Bitcoin and
Solana have each achieved returns close to 116% in 2024, Ethereum's return
