On November 18, 2024, Ethereum
co-founder Vitalik Buterin visited the Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Chon Buri,
Thailand, to see the star attraction, Moo Deng, the baby pygmy hippo.
During his visit, Buterin posed with a
model of Moo Deng and interacted with other animals at the zoo. He was also
seen wearing a Moo Deng-patterned shirt.
The visit coincided with the Devcon SEA 2024 conference in Bangkok that took place between November 12 and 15, 2024, where Buterin was a speaker. He took some time to enjoy the local attractions and engage with the community.
