valued at about $3.2 billion, from the Mt. Gox Rehabilitation Trustee.
Bitstamp
On July 23, 2024, 4 Bitstamp addresses
received a total of 5,110 BTC valued at about $340.1 million.
Mt.Gox plans to return funds to 127,000
creditors through 5 crypto exchanges including Bitstamp, SBI VC Trade, Bitbank, Coincheck, and Kraken.
The rehabilitation trustee, Nobuaki
Kobayashi, has indicated that the repayments will be made in Bitcoin (BTC) and
Bitcoin Cash (BCH).
The total amount to be distributed
includes around 142,000 BTC, 143,000 BCH, and 69 billion Japanese yen, totaling
roughly $9 billion.
