Terraform Labs, the company behind the failed TerraUSD (UST) stablecoin and Luna cryptocurrency, will launch an official Crypto Loss Claims Portal on March 31, 2025, as part of its ongoing bankruptcy wind-down process.

The portal, accessible at claims.terra.money, will allow eligible investors to file claims for losses related to specific digital assets affected by the Terra ecosystem’s collapse in 2022.

Investors will have until April 30, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET to submit their claims. Claims submitted after the deadline will not be accepted, and late filers will forfeit any chance at recovery, according to court documents.

Who Can File a Claim?

To be eligible, claims must relate to a list of Eligible Loss Cryptocurrencies, which will be published on March 31 at restructuring.ra.kroll.com/Terraform.

Claims tied to tokens with less than $100 in on-chain liquidity or Luna 2.0 are excluded. Claimants must also show they held the eligible assets during the period surrounding the collapse of TerraUSD and Luna.

Required Evidence

Terraform Labs is encouraging users to submit read-only API keys from crypto exchanges to verify holdings. This form of “Preferred Evidence” is considered faster and more reliable than manual uploads such as screenshots or transaction logs. Those who opt for manual documentation may face delayed processing or risk having their claims denied—especially if API-based evidence was available but not provided.

Filing Process

Beginning March 31, claimants can:

1.      Register at claims.terra.money

2.    Submit proof of asset ownership via wallet verification or API keys

3.    Complete and submit the Crypto Loss Claim Form by the April 30 deadline

What Happens Next?

Claims will be reviewed within 90 days following the filing deadline. Creditors will then be notified of initial claim determinations and will have the chance to dispute decisions if needed. Approved claims will be eligible for pro rata distributions once processing is complete.
