Tether announced on June 24, 2024 that it will stop minting USDT on on Algorand and EOS blockchains.

Tether citing Algorand and EOS lack community-driven and community support.

Despite this change, Tether will continue to redeem USDT on EOS and Algorand as usual for the next 12 months.

The circulating supply of USDT on these two blockchains represents only about 0.1% of the total USDT supply.
