The SEC approves the listing and trading of options for BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF)

On September 20, 2024,  The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved options trading for the iShares Bitcoin Trust under the ticker symbol IBIT on Nasdaq.

This approval allows for new investment strategies and hedging opportunities for institutional investors, marking another progress in integrating Bitcoin into traditional finance.
