Arkham Intelligence, an on-chain
analytics firm, recently calculated the net worth of Vitalik Buterin, the
co-founder of Ethereum.
According to their report and
information from a post on X, Buterin’s net worth surged from $552 million at
the start of 2024 to $861 million as of July 1.
Buterin’s wealth primarily comes from
his substantial Ethereum (ETH) holdings and strategic investments in various
crypto projects, including StarkNet.
His known ETH holdings, amounting to
approximately 245,279 ETH tokens, significantly contribute to his net worth.
Despite the volatility of the crypto
market, Buterin’s strategic investments and continued role in Ethereum sustain
his financial stature.
It’s also worth noting that Buterin has
never held more than 0.9% of all ETH. His highest ownership was at 0.91% in
2015, and since then, Buterin’s ETH holdings have been decreasing annually.
However, he remains the largest
individual holder of ETH.
Buterin also owns other digital assets.
His top non-ETH holdings include 869,509 KNC tokens from Kyber Network, where
he serves as an advisor, valued at about $473,830, 845,205 STRK tokens from
StarkNet, and 248.42 Wrapped Ether (WETH) tokens worth about $436,9201.
