Axelar and Microsoft announced partnership. Axelar's blockchain data integration and interoperability solutions will be available to Microsoft customers via Azure Marketplace, the software discovery & integration platform used by Microsoft's thousands of cloud computing infrastructure customers.

Axelar and Microsoft have also agreed to explore connecting private with public blockchains and leveraging Azure OpenAI services to create entirely new experiences in Web3.

Axelar is a decentralized network that connects blockchains with each other and with external data sources. It enables cross-chain communication and interoperability

Axelar consists of three main components: the Axelar Core, the Axelar Hub, and the Axelar Bridge.

The Axelar Core is a proof-of-stake blockchain that runs the Axelar protocol, a set of smart contracts that coordinate cross-chain transactions and data transfers.

The Axelar Hub is a network of validators that secure the Axelar Core and relay messages between blockchains.

The Axelar Bridge is a software module that integrates with existing blockchains and allows them to interact with the Axelar network.

By using Axelar, developers can build applications that leverage the best features of different blockchains, without having to deal with the complexity and fragmentation of the current landscape.

Axelar ranks #179 largest crypto by market cap. AXL, the native token of the Axelar network has a fully diluted market cap of $393 million.
