What is Initia?

Initia (INIT) is a new blockchain platform (Layer 1) designed to connect many smaller blockchains (called appchains or rollups) into one system. This helps them work better together, share resources, and grow faster.

How Initia Works?

Initia combines a base Layer 1 chain with a group of connected rollups (appchains). These rollups can be customized for specific apps but still follow shared rules, making them easier to manage and connect.

The INIT Token

INIT is the main token of Initia and it has several use cases:

·       Gas Fees: Used to pay transaction fees on Initia and its appchains.

·   Security and Liquidity: INIT is used in a built-in decentralized exchange (DEX). Liquidity providers stake their tokens to help secure the network and make trading between chains easier.

·       Settlement Fees: Appchains pay fees to Initia's main chain for finalizing their transactions.

·       Initia VIP: A reward system that aligns users, appchains, and the main chain by distributing INIT based on usage and performance.

Main Products

1.      Interwoven Stack
Rollups can run using EVM, MoveVM, or WasmVM and are fast (10,000 transactions per second, 500ms blocks). They include built-in support for oracles, USDC, data services, and interchain tools.

2.    Initia L1
The main chain is built using Cosmos SDK and uses MoveVM, a smart contract system. It has a unique way of securing the network using staked liquidity (Enshrined Liquidity).

3.    Product Suite

o   Initia Scan: Blockchain explorer.

o   Initia App: Hub for all Initia-related apps.

o   Initia Usernames: Name system across chains.

o   Initia Multisig: Supports multiple VMs.

o   Wallet Widget: Easy wallet connections and multichain balance management.

o   Bridge Widget: Move assets between rollups and other blockchains.

This program rewards appchains and users with INIT tokens based on their activity and contribution to the network. The goal is to keep everyone motivated to support Initia’s success.
