U. S Banks JP Morgan and Wells Fargo have recently made announcements regarding their investments in Bitcoin through ETFs, indicating a growing acceptance of cryptocurrencies within traditional banks.

These investments were disclosed in their 13F filings on May 10, representing a continued trend of major banks incorporating Bitcoin into their investment portfolios.

JP Morgan allocated a total of $731,246 to various Bitcoin ETFs, with the largest portion, $477,425, invested in BlackRock's IBIT.

Similarly, Wells Fargo invested $141,817 in Grayscale's GBTC. Previous filings have also revealed similar investments from other traditional banks such as BNP Paribas and BNY Mellon, suggesting a broader industry trend.

According to the head of BlackRock's digital assets division, institutional interest in Bitcoin is increasing.

The surge in institutional investments in Bitcoin ETFs is just beginning and is expected to grow as more sophisticated investors, including sovereign wealth funds, get involved.

BlackRock itself has shown confidence in their product by investing $6.6 million in its IBIT fund. Other fund issuers like Ark Invest and Van Eck have also made significant investments in their respective Bitcoin ETFs.

BlackRock's IBIT fund reached $10 billion in assets under management in a record-breaking 49 days, indicating the rapid growth of institutional interest.

Traditional financial institutions, including CTC Alternative Strategies, Hightower Advisors, US Bancorp, and SouthState, have also disclosed their investments in various Bitcoin ETFs.

The increasing integration of Bitcoin into traditional investment portfolios signifies a shift in how financial institutions perceive digital currencies, bringing them closer to mainstream acceptance.

Data from Fintel reveals that over 240 firms have invested in IBIT, more than 130 in FBTC, and 467 in Grayscale's GBTC, further supporting this trend.
